This is no excuse, why should this matter at all. Yes, Shiro was a strong enemy, but so was Ancient Star Koosun, should we higher the req. on that green because of that? The answer is no, absolutely not.

It's only fair and proper for anet to reduce the requirement of these things. I don't understand why people have to work hard to get through the game to end up with daggers that are frankly, very poor.

I want to work through the game to get something worthwhile, as these daggers and sword are now, they aren't too worthwhile. Me, and almost everyone else on this board would love to see these things buffed. If it doesn't effect you, don't try to put this down. If anyone has any good reason why these things shouldn't be buffed, go ahead and speak. As far as I can tell, these weapons aren't worth the money or the effort it takes to get them, and there is absolutely no reason why they shouldn't get a little boost.

Anet will never get rid of the health degen. Otherwise they'd have to change all vamp weapons, and that's not going to happen..

All Req's of green weapon should be 9. Why? Because that's what every other max damage green's req. is, EXCEPT Shiro weapons. For the person who said it's to show how leet Shiro is... well... my sin can have *16* dagger mastery... I guess he pwns Shiro? Really, there is no need for any green to be above a req 9, since none others are anyway (of course I'm ignoring non-max greens).

Ok. That solves everything. Guess what? They're NOT using them BECAUSE of the requirement. Now unless you can gather the remnants of your brain cells to:
1. Type in full
2. Comprehend a problem,
then I wouldn't even bother trying to act smart by saying "suck it up", when there's quite obviously a problem with them being THE ONLY greens in the game to have a requirement HIGHER than 9.

Now, the exalted aegis. End game item from the same game. It's req 9. Shiro's blade. Another warrior item. Why is it 15 swordsmanship?

Although they were designated req 15 because of the fact that shiro was a weapon master, I do wish that the req on the sword was t least lowered... it's the only thing keeping me from using that thing.

not to be a bad guy or anything, but if these daggers are the "rarest" you would think in reality they would be the hardest to use. I personally think that's why their 15 req. Although it's high, it's "RARE" and therefore should be "RARE" by having it difficult to use (as in meet the req).

Why would you?

There's no good reason to lower the requirements, so why should they bother?

They're the only greens in all three campaigns that require 15 of an attribute. That's not "leet"... That's stupid. Just because they're used by Shiro doesn't make them any better than the blades used by any other of the famous bosses in Tyria, Cantha, and Elona.

It is doubtful, however, that NerfNet will even respond to a request like this. Have they ever responded/implemented anything on this forum that was suggested by the community? I've only been a member for a while now and from what I can tell, it doesn't look like it.

I always liked that design idea which made these weapon feel 'special' and unique.
I don't see any problem with the fact they require 15, if you have a build that can't meet the req, just use something else.

Also, I think that it made some newbs try and actually play with 15 in a weapon mastery and see the difference. And that is good.

A high requirement for an end-game "prestige" item like Shiro's weapons would make sense in another game, where you could balance that with better stats. Guild Wars can't have anything like that though, so what we're left with is a really cool sword that nobody wants.

Then give us something that isn't a weapon. What is the point of getting daggers that many builds can't use because of the insane requirments. It's like saying that you got this amazing green weapon from fighting through an elite mission for hours, only to have it slap a requirement 15 on you.

"I know you worked hard to get this nice looking weapon, sorry you can't use it half the time. Have a nice day."

It's a stupid move on their part. Every other green item is req9, change these two as well.

I wouldn't mind a req 15 if Shiro's blades were as uber as the "Sword of a 1000 Truths". :P
